"This course was a great insight into art history. It has explained most popular artworks and artists in the context of historical periods and events which was crucial for understanding them. It has also provided interesting information on artists themselves, their history, motivations and personalities. I also really loved when the teacher, Michaela, explained the meaning of the artworks by analysing the visual elements such as brush strokes, colors, texture, scale, etc., as it really helped me to better understand the purpose and meaning of an artwork. Going to galleries and museums is now definitely more fascinating than before!"
